This semi detached property is located in Forest Hill. The clients wanted to convert the loft to create a new master bedroom, whilst also reconfiguring the ground floor to create a kitchen diner without extending.
The existing hipped roof needed to change to a gable to accommodate the loft extension, with a dormer added to the rear. It was important that the extension was modern, but also respectful to the existing property. The dormer is clad in anthra zinc, with the colour of the window frames matching the zinc.
The loft now houses a large master bedroom and ensuite with eaves storage and a generous landing space.
The ground floor rooms to the rear of the property were opened up to create a kitchen diner with galley kitchen and a feature wood burning stove.
